The straws used as the principal raw material of Ecoboard are deprived of strong toughness fiber in plant stems and are bonded by Wanhua modified MDI which is strawbinding-oriented. As a result, our Ecoboard has both the advantages of the wood particle board and the medium density fiberboard (MDF) making it the ideal upgrade product for traditional wood-based panel.
Besides releasing no formaldehyde, Wanhua Ecoboard adopts straw fiber to replace lignified fiber creatively to have an excellent physical property outstripping ordinary artificial board.
Extensive materials can be used to produce straw-based boards, including wheat, rice, corn, cotton, soybean, sorghum, flax and a lot of scraps fruit sticks.

To build national carbon emission trading market, national development and reform commission drew “national carbon emission trading management regulation (draft)”and intend to submit to the Central Government to consider.
As recycling economic development industry, straw artificial board can save a wide range of carbon emission annually. It is estimated the factory can emit roughly 80,000 tons less of carbon per year by only producing straw board. Currently, there are carbon exchange in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin and Shenzhen. Calculating according to RMB 15 per ton, the income can be increased by 12 million. Our company has signed contract with related institute on methods of emitting carbon. When the methods develop successfully and submit to National Development and Reform Commission to put on records, it can be listed trading and all the affiliated companies can share the policy together.
In order to promote straw board industry development, WANHUA has built comprehensive utilization of straw industrial chains nationally. Based on optimizing the spatial pattern of economic development by the Central Economic Work Conference in 2015, we concentrate on implement “one belt one road”, collaborative development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. FAQ
Q1: What's the difference between Strawboard and traditional MDF and Particleboard?
a. The material is different, strawboard is made of agri-fibre such as rice and wheat straw. MDI is the adhesive. Tradtional mdf and pariticleboard is made as the wood basis with urea formaldehyde resin.
b. The fiber morphology is different. The strawboard fiber is between mdf and particleboard. The surface is smooth as mdf. The core is more like particleboard.
c. Strawboard is with good fire-proof and water proof performance without adding any fire/water proof retardant in it, it is decided by the material self. The straw fiber include a lot of silica, which is important material for making fire and water proof retardant

Wanhua Ecoboard Co.,Ltd has the most advanced straw board production line in our country with a capacity of 250,000cubic meters/year both existing and under construction. We plan to set up 10-15 straw-board production lines throughout the whole country to expand our capacity to 700K-1M cubic meters/year in three years’ time. The expansion will help us to enlarge our annual turnover to us$4billion
